About

A company built around one problem

Vision Logix is a computer vision company in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. We build systems that watch something specific, understand what they are seeing, and do something about it. Deerkha Drishti is the first of them.

Origin

It started with the news

Reju Varghese's route into AI was not a straight line. A civil engineering graduate who worked in construction before starting an AI data-processing firm, Reju took on projects in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the United States — and wanted to build something with wider social impact. "I wanted to develop something in the field of AI which meant something to society."

The spark came from reports of human-wildlife conflict surfacing regularly across Kerala. Those reports prompted a conversation with a childhood friend, the AI expert A. Mathew, whose portfolio of patented projects provided the technical backbone for what became Deerkha Drishti.

Led by Mathew, with developers Bhavya and Jahir, the team turned standard CCTV networks into an active defence grid — a convergence of computer vision, deep learning and real-time alert technology aimed at one of rural India's most persistent problems.

Where we are

Newly independent

Vision Logix operated as a division of Summit Design Studio, Reju's earlier firm, from 2022 until it was incorporated as an independent private limited company. Deerkha Drishti has moved from prototype to a system running in the field, and the company is now in active discussion with the state government about deploying it more widely.

How we build

Four things we will not trade away

  1. 01

    The field decides

A model that performs well on a benchmark and badly in wet grass at midnight is a model that does not work. Detections from real sites are what we retrain on, and false triggers are treated as bugs, not noise.

  2. 02

It has to work without us

Rural sites lose connectivity. Every part of the system that matters — detection, recording, the deterrent — runs on the box at the site and keeps running through an outage.

  3. 03

    Footage belongs to the site

Cameras never touch the internet. Only alert media leaves by default. There are no database credentials on a box that sits in a field.

  4. 04

We say what we have actually done

One product, one pilot, one set of real detections. Everything else on this site is labelled as a direction, not a track record.

The team

Small, and in the field

Vision Logix is a small team that installs its own hardware, tunes its own models and visits its own sites.

Come and see it work

We would rather show you footage from a real site than talk about accuracy figures.
